The week of May 6th through May 12th is National Nurses Appreciation Week in the United States. National Nurses Week begins every year on May 6th. National Nurses Week is an annual celebration to elevate and celebrate the nursing profession and all the dedicated, hardworking nurses nationwide.
This year, as the United States and the world continue to deal with the impact of the COVID-19 public health pandemic, the celebration of nurses takes on an even greater significance. Nurses, and other healthcare professionals, are the essential workers, fighting each day on the frontlines against the destructive impact of the coronavirus. And while it has become even more important that we recognize, celebrate, and demonstrate our gratitude for the amazing and incredible work that nurses do, National Nurses Week 2020 allows us to truly take a moment to thank all nurses for the hard work they do to take care of us.
For us at Innovo Detox in PA, we want to say a special thank you to our incredible team of nurses that work in our medical department. As a standalone detox and medical stabilization facility delivering services for those suffering from addiction, substance use disorder, and co-occurring disorders, our nursing staff are under a very specific and unique circumstance, both needing to be able to medically treat our patients, but also to help and support them through the behavioral health, substance use disorder, mental health, and psychiatric issues they are having while also going through detox and withdrawal. We are incredibly grateful and incredibly thankful for our amazing team of nurses, and just want to say a humble thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
